The Friedler Dental Group reflects the respect for patients and staff in the delivery of dental services. In these Covid times, our valued patients’ and staff’s safety is of primary concern. To that end, we encourage you to visit our Covid Page to familiarize yourself with our procedures and to better understand how we have met and exceeded infection control requirements. Our handicapped accessible, state-of-the-art facility is envisioned as a Dental Healing Environment, and we are committed to providing a safe, stress-free, and friendly dental care office for our patients.
Throughout this website you can read about and see videos of our dental services; from general dental health to cosmetic, restorative, and implant services. As a family dental practice, our patients’ needs run the gamut from custom mouthguards, to Invisalign, to sleep apnea appliances, sedation dentistry, and just about everything in between.
Dr. Alan Friedler is a multi-generational dentist that has been in practice for over 35 years in the Greater New Haven and Connecticut Shoreline areas. He believes that patients are people first with real issues and concerns when it comes to their health and it is very important for him to first understand the patient who has the problem rather than just the problem that the patient brings. Our patient-centered philosophy encourages all of our patients to express their needs, ask questions and be involved in their treatment plan.
Traditional dentures have long been a staple in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, especially for individuals who have lost most if not all of their regular teeth. However, full arch tooth replacement can be an uncomfortable experience, mainly because the synthetic replacements can interfere with fundamental activities like talking, chewing, smiling, and laughing.
A lack of confidence from a poor prosthesis often leads to social isolation and depression, especially amongst the elderly. Even worse for many are the physical side effects such as progressive bone loss, malnutrition from not eating, and an overall sagging facial structure.
